“For some years now, rock-climbing in Colombia has become more and more important, which is why in the country new climbing parks in nature have been opened. Today we can count at least 20 of them in the Colombian territory. Among the most recognized, also in South America, is the climbing park of Suesca, Colombia’s largest, which has more than 400 routes between sports, classic and artificial ones, that measure up to 130 meters and is characterized by its beautiful green landscape, which accompanies the athletes during their practice. “
We will depart early in the morning from Bogota in the direction of the north to find the imposing cliff of Suesca, located at more or less 1 hours’ drive from the capital. Once there and depending on the conditions and experience of the participants, we will choose the climbing routes that fit our abilities, since there are graduations between 5.6 and 5.14, meaning that it is possible to find routes that go from beginner to expert level. We will alternate the practice of climbing with some descents by rope known as rappel, in the areas of the cliff that facilitate this practice.
In the afternoon, we will visit a nearby cave, which has some narrow passages and water wells, in a short walk of about 1 hour (for that we will need change clothes). With this activity we end the day and return to Bogotá. This day can also be organised in the vicinity of the towns of Zipaquirá and Sutatausa with options for all climbing levels.
All adventure activities are expertly guided with certified materials and all participants are covered with accident insurance.
